What is a Food Hub?

Food hubs are where production, distribution and marketing services happen for local producers allowing small farms to more easily sell to wholesale and retail buyers. 

The hub pools products from small and medium-sized farms together so they can fill large orders. Food hubs are important tools for strengthening the local food economy and providing more people access to healthy affordable local food.
